We are a small family campsite, located in the woods on spring-fed Muskellunge Lake in Northern Lincoln County, catering to toddlers-teens, youths, sr. citizens. Terrace View welcomes the Bicycler traveler to the larger RV units. We give Passport America discounts. (RV's over 35', we recommend calling ahead for vacancy. We do not have 50 amps but 30 amps with an adapter is available) Most sites overlook the lake and are furnished with a picnic table and a stone fire ring. Our beach is sandy and gradual sloping, safe for all ages and has a nice sitting area by the water's edge. You might observe an eagle, osprey, the heron, our loon and family, deer or the sly fox - maybe even a bear and her cubs passing through while camping. We open early in the spring (April/May) weather permitting and close after deer season. Catering to the partridge/grouse/deer hunters and late migrating snowbirds heading south.
Our lake has bass, musky, northern, crappie, some bluegill, walleye and perch with fishing from piers or shore. There are trout streams nearby too. The lake is not very large nor wide and we do not allow jet-skis to launch, dock or land at the beach area. Larger heavy hulled boats should call ahead regarding their launch. Water skiing/tubing is allowed. Quiet hours on the lake BEFORE 10 am and AFTER 7 pm daily. We ask all water users to extend courtesies to all lake users at all times.
Amenities include: Badminton/volleyball area, basketball hoop, 2 children's playground areas. Often times we schedule a craft, entertainment or children's activities and of course our beach area. Our recreation/Multipurpose building has a special toddler playroom, game room with pool table, ping-pong, pinball and video games where we sell sweet treat snacks and ice cream. We also sell pizza and of course firewood and ice. Tomahawk has nice shopping for grocery and browsing.
For the Golfer: There are many excellent courses within a 15-minute drive.
For Bicyclers: We are 2 miles from the Hiawatha Trail that connects with the Bearskin DNR Bike Trail Northwood’s into Minocqua. If you are traveling thru, single or a group on a bicycle, stop by-we give special rates and a peaceful rest.
